Smokers are the victims. As a smoker I fell victimized from all sides, think about this for a minute. If you smoke more then likely you were drawn into it for some reason. Such as to fit in or look cool, or any other stupid reason that could think of that influenced you to started smoking when you were younger. Cigarette smoking was made readily available to everyone. In the early years smoking was marketed as the thing to do. And our government allowed this marketing. Up until the government realized that this product was not good, and was coasting them a ton of money for health related problems. And then they put a stop to the marketing of cigarette smoking. But by then the damage was done. It was too late. So now anyone who picks up the habit gets it from somebody else how got it form someone before them how got it from someone before them how still got it from someone before them all the way back to those heavy marketing days. Victim. In todays society if you smoke you are punished. Some states have banned smoking in any and all public buildings. And they dont even supply you with an area where you can partake in that nasty addiction. And thats just what it is an addiction, brought on the public by the government and the tobacco companys back in the early years. Victim. The coast of cigarettes has gone way up. Why? Its not because the tobacco companys raised there prices, its because the government has raised the taxs on cigarettes. why? So the smokers can pay the debt brought on by the government. I dont know about you, but I fill if Im paying the debt, I should be entitled to something more then being shoved outside, dont you? It would be different if the taxes where going to programs that could help someone quit smoking, but there not. Even if that where so, it would still make the smoker the victim. So what are we the smokers to do? I say we should convict the guilty parties, the pushers if you will, of there crime. We need to fight and partition the people, to have both government and the tobacco companies pay for there crime on society. If a person wants to quit or kick the habit of smoking, then they should not have to pay for that too. |
