There are more than one procedure for removal of acne and blackheads by surgery. Surgery seems a big name for any medical treatment, but as far as removal of blackheads is concerned, it is the minimal operation. It is just a simple system or procedure.
Some of the most commonly used and accepted procedures for acne removal are chemical peeling, dermabrasion, excision surgery and collagen and fat tissue filling. And of course the famous laser treatment- mild, medium or deep, depending upon your conditions is also there.

Chemical peels are ideal for the scars caused from comedones, blackheads and whiteheads. Even the deeper and big scars can be reduced by using the chemical peels over and over again.
The most accepted treatment for acne and blackheads removal is laser treatment. The intensity of laser treatment depends upon the level and condition of your acne and blackheads. Under this process, the infrared laser beams, without harming the skin or the tissues elevate the depressed scars and tighten collagen fibers.
So the advantage and superiority of the laser procedure is that it reaches deeper skin layers as compared to other procedures and hence the results are permanent. Complex scars and whiteheads can also be treated by laser procedures. That is even the irregular scarring can be remodeled by this technique.
Dermabrasion is a technique developed specifically for acne scar treatment. It scores points over chemical peel for the reason that it reaches deeper skin layers. Even the hypertrophic scars are treated by this technique. The ice-pick scars are taken care of by using a combination of punch excision of the scar tissue and dermabrasion.
Procedures like Intralesional Steroid Injection (Keloids) and soft tissue augmentation also treat the scars and blackheads quite effectively.
Skin surgery is another commonly used procedure now. There are procedures to remove each scar individually. Even skin graft is used, wherever necessary.
Along with the surgical procedure adopted by you, the essential part of the overall treatment is that your skin needs strength and support for renewal and growth of the tissues. That is possible by your taking the right type of diet, so that the skin can respond well to the treatment. If the skin does not get the essential vitamins for its maintenance and growth, your acne problems will remain as problems and you are bound to be ready for the next attack of acne at not too a distant future! |
