Baby Shower Games to Break the Ice

While everyone enjoys going to a baby shower to celebrate the coming birth of a baby for a friend, but many times friends of friends don't know each other. Its usually a good idea to get the guests acquainted with each other so that the party goes well.

A popular game to help guests get acquainted quickly is the 'Who am I' game. As guests arrive pin or tape a piece of paper to their backs. On this piece of paper will be written the name of a famous celebrity. As the guests mingle during the party they have to ask other guests questions about themselves in order to figure out who they are. It ought to be a lot of fun.

Another good game to help break the ice and get everyone laughing is 'Guess that Smell.' Get some diapers and place different foul smelling concoctions inside each, such as chili and mustard and wrap them up. Then give the guests a piece of paper and pen and pass around the diapers one by one having the guests sniff them. They will then write down what they think it is. At the end everyone can tally up and find out who guessed the right smell for the right diaper.

For the last party game the women at the party will need a willing and flexible husband or boyfriend. Have each couple bring a bag of baby things and a large piece of cloth for the diaper. During the party the women will each take a man and dress him up. When finished they will each bring out their 'babies' to see who dressed their baby the best. Of course if this is too much for the men the women can bring over a doll and dress it up in baby things then have a baby beauty contest to see who's looks the best.
