Secured Mailboxes; A Person's Mailbox is the Primary Target for Identity Theft

Secure mailboxes can help significantly reduce your chances of falling victim to identity theft. Identity theft is a growing problem. Thieves can steal personal information in a variety of manners. Some intercept internet transactions via phone or email, others hack directly into victims' computers; these are both viable means of garnering information, and these computer-based methods have gained the most media attention thus far. However, electronic lines of communication are not the only ones that need to be kept secure.

Identity theft in the United States has grown tremendously over the last few years. Statistics show that close to one million new individuals are affected by it every year, costing Americans upwards of one billion dollars. A person's mailbox is the primary target. Not only does it contain valuable information, such as bank records, but it is also typically easy to access or even break open if locked.
