Apple Owns the iPod

Everyone knows that Apple owns the mp3 business. Their genius little iPod device has consumers worldwide spinning with each new release due to a plethora of features packed into pure quality. Due to this, it is only natural that analysts would make predictions as to what the next big move by Apple might be for its iPod line of products. However, this prediction definitely comes at a surprise.

Munster, a leading analyst, said that within five years, Apple could release an iPod with one terabyte of storage - that's almost 17 times the maximum amount of iPod storage Apple currently offers. Munster realistically images an iPod device that can store literally hundreds of full length, high quality videos on top of songs and pictures. A price range for this beast? It is currently predicted to be around $500.

Other speculatory items include things such as an iPhone, which would basically be an iPod cell phone. Indeed, this option is a very feasible one, one that Apple is expected to take due to its interest in expanding into the mobile phone market. More Mac programs expanding the use of the iPod and other peripherals for it are also expected.

Needless to say, the future of the iPod looks like a bright one indeed. There is really only one way that it appears it can head from here, up.
