Federal Trade Commission Shows Its True Abilities

The Justice Departments little orphan agency the FTC, which stands for Federal Trade Commission, which is the agency in-charge of getting rid of SPAM. Now you can already see where this article is going? After all SPAM is still here and growing while the FTC or Federal Trade Commission is simply showing us its impotence in getting rid of all those Viagra Ads. Now the Federal Trade Commission after failing in the war on SPAM is onto bigger things like getting rid of Identity Theft. Only this time they not only cannot get rid of the problem or even put a dent in it, but the Federal Trade Commission has now had two laptops stolen from supposedly locked automobiles in Scottsdale Arizona. And guess what? 110 people have had their identities stolen as there was personal information; date of birth, financial records, drivers license numbers, social security numbers, you name it on them.

So what is the agency which is suppose to Protect the American People from Identity Theft going to do about this debacle? After all they cannot even protect themselves? Well they stated; The FTCs Inspector General has been notified and is investigating the theft. The local police department, as well as appropriate federal law enforcement agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, also have been notified. Interesting indeed now they are going to waste taxpayers money and lots of it investigating two lap tops stolen? Why? Because a couple of two-bit thieves stole their laptops? We need to close this waste of taxpayers money the FTC is clearly incompetent indeed. Consider all this in 2006.
