Article Views on Online Submission Sites

There sure is a lot of junk on the Internet. Then there is a lot of good stuff too. It is interesting the differences of article online submission websites on the Internet. What is even more interesting is the number of article views and click thrus. Where as I see many great authors on websites such as EzineArticles.com the premier article site, who are writing good articles which people read and writers who are interested in meaningful content; I also see 20 questionable sites with almost as many combined articles as EzineArticles with very poor content. Content which is borderline indeed.

One of the most important things on an article submission site online is to insure traffic and your articles are read if you choose to submit them. I also notice many articles online only get maybe 300 page views which turn into 3-4% click thru actions, which result in 1:20 sales per view at best. I wonder and have to question the validity of online submission sites for only a sales or Public Relations play; that is to say that I question the validity. At 300 page views that is 9-12 and click thru action, you would have made on average; NO SALES! But if you wrote two articles probably ONE SALE provided your website was decent due to the 18-24 click thru actions. Now then if you write to position yourself as an expert in a field or for personal enjoyment on top of a way to generate sales, that is entirely a different set of issues and thus would make sense for you.

All authors submitting articles to online article submission sites should be thinking here. And also considering the traffic, kind of traffic and the RSS feeds and where you articles will end up?
